50 Cent Denies His Crew Robbed Jeweler of $250,000 in Valuables While in Vegas
A high-end jewelry store owner claims associates of 50 Cent pistol whipped and robbed him of $250,000 in jewelry during Floyd Mayweather fight weekend in Las Vegas.
LAX Jewelry Co. owner Robert Marin told local police he went to Vegas to meet with the rapper in hopes of negotiating a deal with him for the sale of watch and a chain.
According to TMZ, Marin and 50 met at Drai's nightclub, and he immediately seemed interested in it. Perhaps too much so, for the next thing he knew Marin claims he was being attacked.
Marin alleges that happened after they left the club and went to check out where Mayweather was training for his eventual win over Manny Pacquiao.Marin has since filed a formal robbery report and Vegas police are investigating.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent has deemed all the claims as bogus and his attorney Scott Leemon told TMZ, "On behalf of 50, I can adamantly deny that he or his security had anything to do with these baseless and false allegations."
After publicly feuding and engaging in a running war of words for months, 50 and Mayweather recently squashed their beef and rekindled their friendship.
"We've been good," Mayweather told recently told reporters. "My younger brother happens to be the best fighter in the world and makes $200 million dollars in 36 minutes. How do you tell him what to do? Sometimes he's not right. Because everyone else is co-dependent, they can't agree. You have that argument until he starts to look at it and go, 'Alright, he was right.'"
The two's feud dates all the way back to 2012, just after Mayweather was released from a Vegas jail after serving a 60-day sentence on domestic abuse related charges. Among the "Get Rich or Die Tryin" rapper's most stinging insults were taunts about what he deemed the champ's lack of reading and comprehension skills.
