‘Community’ Season 6 Episode 10 Spoilers: A Road Trip Turns Into a Sci-Fi Adventure [Watch]
The next episode of "Community," titled "Basic RV Repair and Palmistry," will upload to Yahoo for fans to stream on Tuesday, May 12.
According to IMDb, this episode is going to be centered around a road trip the gang takes in order to dispose of the Greendale artifact. But it takes a weird twist and Abed will turn the episode into a sci-fi adventure.
Details of this episode have been very vague. According to the official Yahoo preview, we can expect this episode – like so many others of the show – to reach out and tickle our funny bones. Abed's science-fiction mind takes over when Frankie suggests that he is from the future and has come back to save them.
What she was referring to was the breakdown they had incurred while on a road trip in an RV. Elroy (Keith David) was piloting the RV when they broke down on what appeared to be a desolate stretch of road.
David is one the series' newcomers, though he had previously lent his voice to the show in narration. He sat down and spoke with Variety on why he came to the show.
"Two seasons ago, I got a job narrating the pillow fight episode on 'Community,' and I understand it went over very well," David told Variety. "I love smart comedy that comes out of live situations. That's what's funny. Life is funny. You don't have to have a laugh track -- joke setup joke. I went to community college for a short time, but my work schedule interfered. It's a certainly interesting premise to begin with. That's the stuff you can sink your teeth into."
David said the cast welcomed him and treated him very well. He mentioned working in a loving environment and getting along with everyone. He also had a few things to say about show creator Dan Harmon.
"I like his style," David told Variety about Harmon. "The writing is great. The better stuff that's on TV is very smart. It doesn't play down to the audience. It makes you have to come up to it. It uses references that you have to think about."
