Fallout 4 News, Trailer & Release Date: Game Confirmed in Studio Row, Guillermo del Toro's Creating Fallout 4 Teaser?
The unconfirmed but highly-anticipated game Fallout 4 is expected to be unveiled during the 2015 E3 convention next month. The latest news regarding the franchise title is that Guillermo del Toro's CG Mirada Studio has been tapped to develop the game's cinematic trailer.
According to Destructoid, the LinkedIn profile of a 3D contract artist employed by Mirada studios has revealed that they have been involved in the production of the trailer for four months -- December 2014 to March 2014. After publishing the news, Destructoid has updated the story and reported that Mirada Studios has sent a letter demanding the story be pulled because it is in violation of a non-disclosure agreement.
"We received an email from Mirada Studios demanding we pull this story. A representative cited inaccuracies, but also confirmed the story was breaking a non-disclosure agreement. As nobody at Destructoid signed an NDA, we're assuming that confirms somebody else broke NDA. I wonder who might be in trouble."
The Los Angeles-based Mirada Studio was founded by del Toro, but there is no guarantee that del Toro is directly involved in the project. Other clients of the studio include Nike, Mazda, Katy Perry and more.
E3 2015
Bethesda, the publisher of Fallout, has not officially announced Fallout 4, but online analysts are expecting big news about the title during Bethesda's first ever press conference.
Last week, per IGN, it was reported that there will be a 20 to 30 minute demo during the Fallout 4 reveal at the upcoming 2015 E3. With Bethesda sponsoring its own conference, it's likely there's is going to be a lot of new updates to be unveiled.
Back in 2008, Bethesda confirmed that Fallout 4 would be developed. They indicated that the next title would be released in under a decade, and it's been seven years since the last. Fans are hoping for a title sooner rather than later. Speaking to Reuters in the past, Fallout 3 executive producer Todd Howard shared that a three year gap between games is ideal.
"I think it's good for people to miss things," Howard said. "Ten years between 'Fallout' is a bit long, but I think there's this nostalgia factor."
Other titles that could be discussed by Bethesda during its press conference could include updates and new titles for Elder Scrolls, Dishonored and Wolfenstein.
The 2015 E3 will take place at the LA Convention Center on June 16 to 18 while Bethesda's press conference will take place on June 14. For fans interested in attending the event, more information on how to register will be provided at a later date. There will also be a live streaming service via Twitch.TV/Bethesda.
