Carrie Underwood Twitter: Country Singer Performing at Grand Ole Opry, Tells Followers to Reach 'For Your Goals' [Watch]
Carrie Underwood will be joining the Grand Ole Opry for two June 9 performances as members kick off CMA Music Fest Week.
The 32-year-old Underwood retweeted earlier this month news that she will be joining Easton Corbin, Del McCoury and Scotty McCreery in taking the stage. The outing will mark her first on the Opry since she performed at Ryman back in December.
Just last week, the still essentially newlywed bride, new mom to an infant son and fourth season "American Idol" winner reflected to her followers in another post.
The tweet linked to a video of Underwood telling her fans not to be too hard on themselves.
"We all have days that it's really difficult," she said in the Calia by Carrie video, where she is seen working out. "You know, I don't want to go to the gym. Go for a 20-minute walk. Each thing that you do takes you one step closer to your goal."
Though Underwood is speaking about exercise, her words can also apply to other areas.
In the last few years, Underwood has been busy.
In July of 2010, "The Jesus Take The Wheel" crooner married Nashville Predator and NHL star Mike Fisher. Just after Valentine's Day this year, the couple added son Isaiah Michael Fisher.
But now, the singer has given herself some time to take a breather.
On Instagram, the country singer has shared images from her latest vacation. In one, she is laying on a towel and smiling at the camera above her. In another image, she admired the palm trees surrounding her. The image was digitally altered, giving Underwood a fuchsia hue.
Yes, the singing. According to the New York Daily News, Underwood rates as one of the most successful former "American Idol" contestants in history. For the last seven years, she's hosted the Country Music Awards alongside Brad Paisley and recently entered the world of movie making, appearing as Sarah Hill in the 2011 flick "Soul Surfer."
Among Underwood's other biggest hits are such classics as "All-American Girl," "Mama's Song," "Cowboy Casanova," "Just A Dream" and "Before He Cheats."
