iPhone 6 Release Date, Features & Specs: New Patent Shows Possible Hover Gesture Controls?
A brand new patent leads to the assumption that the upcoming iPhone 6 will have hover gesture controls.
IBTimes AU wrote that the patent was finally rendered to Apple and can possibly be featured for its new flagship phone, the iPhone 6. It is deemed to be a brand new feature that can go head to head with the highly anticipated competitor phone Samsung Galaxy S5.
The patent includes the description of a touch screen that can recognize the difference between the actual touching of its screen from the hovering of a finger. These hover gesture controls can certainly bring about a brand new experience to the iPhone user. Just imagine, it can allow any user to make commands without even touching it.
However, the concept of hovering features is not anymore new especially with Samsung. A similar kind of technology was already introduced on their devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4. When it comes to the new Apple patent, it can potentially lead to developing a more intelligent feature which can draw the line even between a hover and a simple tap.
Meanwhile, AppAdvice reported brand new concept designs for the possible iPhone 6 Air and the iPhone 6c. According to the site, iPhoneSoft folks made up an iPhone 6 Air that has an antiglare display measuring 4.5 inches. They also packed it with a 20MP camera and a dual LED flasher with stabilizer. This goes the same for their iPhone 6c concept except for its 13MP camera feature.
As for the iPhone 6 release date rumors, Asia One News stated that sources mentioned by DigiTimes mentioned that Apple is set to release their bigger iPhone by May 2014. But many analysts think that this date is odd since Apple usually refreshes their iPhone products for a year or so.
