Lionel Pickens, who was famously known as Coke Boys rapper Chinx Drugz, was shot dead in a drive-by shooting that happened early Sunday morning around 4 a.m. EST in Queens, New York, the New York Daily News reports.

At the time of the shooting, Pickens was in the passenger seat of a Porsche and was shot several times. The driver, who is an unidentified 27-year-old man, was hit twice in the back and remains in critical but stable condition in Jamaica Hospital.

The shooting reportedly occurred on Queens Blvd. at 84th Dr. in Briarwood. The shooter sped off immediately after firing several shots while the Porsche came to a halt down the street in front of a Dunkin' Donuts.

A cook from the Dunkin' Donuts told the New York Daily News that he witnessed the aftermath of the shooting and Picken's lifeless body laying in the passenger seat of the car that reportedly has seven bullet holes in the front and rear driver's side windows.

Source reports that Pickens is best known for his work with his close friend and Coke Boys label boss French Montana. The two collaborated on several songs together including "I'm A Cokeboy" and "Feelings."

So far, French Montana has yet to publicly comment on the death of his close friend. However, the Source reports that Picken's colleagues including Meek Mill commented on the rapper's death.

So far, police have yet to find the shooter who killed Pickens and wounded his driver. But All Hip Hop suggests that an Instagram user @teamshabbaofficial might be the person responsible for the shooting.

Since Pickens' death, the @teamshabbaofficial user has been bragging about being Picken's murderer. It is unclear whether police officials have been monitoring the page; however social media users have left comments on the user's page expressing their belief that the page is a hoax.

Prior to his death, Pickens posted an Instagram photo of himself and friends partying at a club on Saturday night. Many believe that Pickens was killed shortly after the photo was taken.
