'El Señor de los Cielos' Cast & News: Fernanda Castillo Posts Throwback Picture With Cast As Show Gets Another Season
Fernanda Castillo posted a throwback photo with the cast of "El Señor de los Cielos" to his Instagram account.
Telemundo announced a new season of the hit series, Latin Times reports.
In the fourth season of "El Señor de los Cielos," the wealthy drug lord Aurelio Casillas (Amaya) will find out that he sets the limit to his aspirations and will find himself struggling to survive in Mexico.
Meanwhile, actress Carmen Villalobos says crime and corruption is not only an issue in Mexico but in her native country Colombia as well, Latin Post reports according Vivelo Hoy.
"At a Latin American level, we are (talking about) countries where, unfortunately, we have to confront these kinds of problems," the "El Señor de los Cielos" said. "I have always said that the sun cannot be covered up with a finger, and I believe that the best way to fight something is always to talk about it."
In Season 3, Villalobos' character Leonor Ballesteros, an incorruptible agent, fell victim to drug lord Casillas.
Some fans were upset with Ballesteros because she was the only cop that would never bend to Mexico's corruption, according to El Nuevo Herald.
"Many people on social networks -- most of them Mexicans -- have told me, 'I wish there were more police officers like you'; because it is true that (Ballesteros) is the only character who truly does something against the drug (trade) and corruption," Villalobos said.
Rumors say that Ballesteros and the drug lord are in a secret romantic relationship, but Villalobos confirms that there is no romance between the two characters.
"There is no love (between them) because there can be no love between two people who have hated each other so much ever since the first season. But there is, in fact, a physical -- sexual -- thing, in which all that hate ends up," she said.
"El Señor de los Cielos" is one of Telemundo's top super series.
