The next iPhone could be coming this August, according to Tech Radar. The next iPhone will likely be called the iPhone 6S.

Apple has been ordering camera sensors from Sony, according to GSM Dome. This follows the news that Samsung is already producing the new A9 processor that is expected to be used in the iPhone 6S.

If the next iPhone is released in August, it would break Apple's trend of releasing new iPhones in September. A factor that may delay the next iPhone is the release of iOS 9, which will be the operating system that the next iPhone plans to use.

Some new colors could be coming with the next iPhone. A rose gold edition and a pink edition iPhone could be added as color choices.

Apple wants to avoid a repeat of the bending problems that occurred with the iPhone 6 Plus. Tech Radar reports that the next iPhone will use the lightweight and strong Series 7000 aluminum alloy. That is the same material used in the new Apple Watch.

The screen sizes will likely remain the same, the iPhone 6S will use a 4.7-inch screen and the 6S Plus will use a 5.5-inch screen. A third model that could be called the iPhone 6C could feature a 4.0-inch screen. The screens could get stronger with sapphire glass.

The camera on the next iPhone is expected to improve to DSLR-like quality. The cameras will be upgraded to 12 megapixels.

Battery life on the next iPhone could improve. Apple has been hiring more employees for battery-related positions in hopes of improving the battery life on the next iPhone.

The RAM on the iPhone 6S is expected to be doubled from 1 GB to 2 GB, allowing for faster loading of apps and multitasking. 

The next processor to be used in the iPhone 6S will be the A9. The A9 processor from Samsung will be 15 percent smaller, 20 percent more powerful and 35 percent more power efficient than the A8 processor that the iPhone 6 and 6S use.
