No one is immune to the One Direction magic. Even pop princes Britney Spears went full fangirl when 21-year-old Harry Styles waved at her while on the Billboard Music Awards (May 17) red carpet.

Joe Jonas made everyone happy when he was snapped and uploaded Spears' reaction via Instagram. "When you see your Insta-Crush in person," wrote the 24-year-old singer.

MTV reported that the "Pretty Girls" singer completely freaked out when she came face-to-face with the British hottie. The 33-year-old sensation appeared completely starstruck as she stood straight-backed, donning an awkward expression on her face and what looks to be a semi-wave.

In related news, Styles' ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, 25, went home as the night's big winner, bagging a total of eight awards including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album.

Her haul is followed by Pharrell, Sam Smith and Iggy Azalea who took home three honors each. Insiders also revealed that Harry worked hard to avoid running into Swift who was totally enamored with her new beau, Calvin Harris, 31.

"Harry ended up being the only member of One Direction to not attend his ex-girlfriend Taylor's after-party," said an unnmaned source, according to The Mirror. "Instead the curly-haired hunk decided to fly back from Las Vegas to Los Angeles on his own, in order to avoid seeing the Taylor and Calvin's PDA at the party," the source added.

However, Styles wasn't the only to duck out of the after-party scene. "Fifty Shades of Grey" star Rita Ora also decided to skip Swift's celebration. Rita used to date Harris who is now officially Swift's man after the pair decided to use the event as the time to debut their budding romance.

The publication added that an insider revealed, "Rita was backstage the whole night to avoid Calvin and Taylor. The romance is big news -- she wanted to avoid an awkward encounter or being pictured reacting. Taylor was introducing all her mates to Calvin by his real name Adam, telling everyone how happy they were. There's no love lost between them."

Styles and Swift dated for four months until they split back in 2013.
