Fans of Chris Pratt's funny cosmic superhero, Star-Lord, could finally expect to see more of the character in upcoming Marvel films. The 35-year old actor recently revealed that his signed contract with the studio called for more than three movies under his belt.

Pratt was in an interview with GQ Magazine when he shared this detail. When asked about his other rumored action movies, he replied that his schedule is quite packed for the moment.

"I'm tied to doing three more, or five more, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' or whatever it is, you know, two more 'Guardians' plus another couple," admitted the actor.

It seems that the former "Parks and Recreation" alum were offered the usual multi-film deal that Marvel often hand out to leads in their movies.

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" has already been confirmed. The movie is set to start production on February 2016 for a May 5, 2017 release date. Based on Marvel movie trends, most superhero films come in the form of a trilogy and it is speculated that a third "Guardians of the Galaxy" film would soon follow.

That would leave around two more slots for other Marvel films that Star-Lord would appear.

Speculations have circulated that Peter Quill's cosmic alter ego would be next seen in the "Avengers: Infinity Wars" series. The reason for this rumor is based on the simple fact that among the current superhero films out for Marvel, this is the only one that is not set on Earth.

The studio's Phase 3 all focused on setting the stage for the war against Thanos, who is out to get all the Infinity Stones, as well as introducing new characters in the cinematic universe that would join the Avengers.

It was also noted that since the Orb, which is also called the Power Stone, was found in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie, it is highly likely Star-Lord would help protect it from the Mad Titan in the next Avengers film.

Another possibility for Pratt's character is the film "Inhumans," which is set for 2019. The movie is about a group of superhumans created by Kree, whose latent powers showed when they were exposed to the Terrigen Mist, Cinema Blend reported.

On the other hand, Star-Lord could also have a role in the upcoming "Captain Marvel. Based from the comics, its lead character had lots of contact with the cosmic superhero crew.
