‘God of War 3: Remastered’ Trailer & Release Date: Kratos vs. Hades Boss Battle Shown in 1080p Teaser [Video]
When “God of War 3: Remastered” was verified last month, news about it sent the Internet into a frenzy. It has been more than five years since gamers were last able to help the Ghost of Sparta wage an all-out war on the Gods of Mount Olympus, notes Game Rant.
Thankfully, they had Kratos’ appearances in other games to get by. Kratos was among the playable characters of “PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale” in 2012. Plus, just a month ago, Kratos was also a boss character in the indie game, “Shovel Knight.”
Now, though, fans of this brutal and violent game finally have the chance to revisit Ancient Greece and bring it down to rubble “God of War 3: Remastered” for the Sony PlayStation 4. Moreover, the game is now also available for pre-order.
A new video uploaded on the PlayStation YouTube channel features Kratos and Hades in an epic boss battle, as they attempt to bring each other down in an extremely violent fight to the death.
As seen in the boss battle’s visuals, the graphics of “God of War 3: Remastered” look smooth and sublime. The battle between Kratos and Hades play in full 1080p and runs at 60fps. According to the Game Rant, Sony claimed that gamers should expect the same specs from the game, once it's out.
It was also reported that "God of War 3: Remastered" will feature a new Photo mode. This added mode will allow gamers to freeze the carnage whenever they please. The photo's lighting effects and filter can be adjusted according to the gamer's liking. This freeze-frame feature might come in handy when the Kratos vs. Hades battle begins.
Gamers who avail of “God of War 3: Remastered” via pre-order will receive a bundle of bonuses, according to the PlayStation Blog. Examples of such bonuses will be free PlayStation Now rentals for the first two “God of War” titles that will be out soon, as well as a new dynamic theme, among others.
Gamers who pre-ordered will also be given access to “God of War – Fall of Olympus” Dynamic Theme once “God of War 3: Remastered” is launched in the market on July 14.
This is very good news for “God of War” players, but it would appear that gamers in North America will be getting even better news. According to the PlayStation Blog, they will be getting the special theme ahead of the rest, specifically on May 26. However, this gift can only be availed if the pre-order process was completed through the PlayStation network.
