When the second season of "Reign" came to an end, Mary, Queen of Scots, and her husband Francis, the King of France, lived through the birth of his, but not Mary's, son, a plague and a nation divided. Catherine de Medici, who has struggled to accept that her daughter-in-law now wears her crown, visited Mary's enemy, Queen Elizabeth of England, to make her an offer that will ultimately hurt Mary.

Fans caught a glimpse of Queen Elizabeth in the season finale, but her appearance has raised more questions than provided answers. One big question on the mind of many fans is whether or not anyone from the French Court will travel to the English Court and interact with Queen Elizabeth in Season 3.

"Eventually, we will," creator and producer Laurie McCarthy told E! News. "Obviously, they're a sea part from one another, but you will see some travel back and forth. We will see some cross-pollination between the two courts."

McCarthy also recently told Entertainment Weekly that several "Reign" Season 3 scenes will be set in England. Queen Elizabeth will be a significant character in Season 3. Fans can look forward to getting to know Mary's arch rival very well.

"We'll see the court of England, we'll see the Elizabethan court and see the people who surround her. So that's what I'm excited about; that allows the show to have even more scope," McCarthy said.

"Reign" will begin its third season with Mary and Francis stabilizing their relationship and becoming more powerful together. Francis will accept, and forgive, her affair with Conde because she proved through her actions that her loyalty is to him and France.

Elizabeth, the "Virgin" Queen, and France's greatest threat, will show her true colors in how she handles Catherine's offer.

"I have been dying to introduce her to our characters and our audience. Because no single character understands Mary's unique circumstances more. No character is more of a threat to her happiness and her life. Elizabeth's debut in the season finale is a catalyst for events in season three, when Reign will chronicle the lives, loves and tribulations of three queens: Mary, Catherine and now Elizabeth," McCarthy told the Hollywood Reporter.
