The player of NBA 2K16 will "guide your MyPLAYER through the complete NBA journey, take control of an entire NBA franchise, or hone your skills online competing against gamers from around the world," according to ShopTo.

The game's description adds that it will have "animations that provide smoother movement and more realistic articulation, it's certain to be the most authentic NBA gaming experience yet."

The game is set to be released in October, but already players in the United Kingdom have the chance to pre-order it, Game Spot reports.

NBA 2K15 players will still be able to cash in on a random item Locker Code until the third round of the NBA Playoffs are completed. The Houston Rockets fought off elimination Monday night to keep this code active for a little longer.

If players enter 6JI9Q-Y38AH-9DY4I-1R92Q-8ASKP into the Locker Code section of NBA 2K15 they will receive a random item. It is advised to enter this code carefully, since the I's and 1's look similar. There is only one "1" in this code, and it is in the fourth set of characters.

Players on Twitter have reported receiving 2000 Virtual Currency (VC), 7500 VC, 10000 VC, the MyPlayer Dunk Package, Pink Diamond Kevin Durant, Pink Diamond Larry Bird, Pink Diamond Paul George and the Legendary Pass Pack.

Chris Manning 2K15 (@LD2K), community manager for NBA 2K15, announced on Twitter that completing the Ruby Erasers pack will earn players the Sapphire Hakeem Olajuwon player.
