Tom Cruise and "Mission: Impossible" co-star Paula Patton are rumored to be secretly dating, and the number of their outings are reported to be on the rise.

The National Enquirer reports after flying under the radar for a time, the two are now realizing that they are good together and hanging out even more.

"When they worked on the movie, they had a genuine connection, but neither was available," a source told the magazine. "Now that they're both single, it's totally on."

However, Gossip Cop says this is a completely false rumor. The website said the two have only been co-stars, and that it was a long time ago. 

Either way, perhaps Patton is not ready for a relationship. 

After eight years of marriage, 39-year-old Patton recently split from Robin Thicke, and the New York Daily News reports she told talk show Meredith Vieira "she is now living like an adult."

Patton met Thicke when she was just 14 years old and told Vieira now being on her own for the first time has finally made her feel like an adult.

"I moved from my parent's house to moving in with Robin and now I'm becoming an adult," she said. "I feel like a real woman now."

Fifty-one-year-old Cruise and ex-wife Katie Holmes ended their marriage in a 2012 split that became so bitter, Radar reports, individuals in both camps were actively seeking to smear and punish the other side. The two were married for nearly six years and have a young daughter together.

Recently, Cruise has denied rumors that he has not seen daughter Suri in more than a year, with reps for him countering he has simply decided to do so in a more private way to shield her from the glare of the media.
