Nick Cannon is hinting that he's single, as he readily admitts he will always love soon-to-be ex-wife Mariah Carey based on a string of recent comments and social media postings.

"Being single doesn't mean that you know nothing about love. Sometimes, being solo is wiser than being in a false relationship," the quote featured in the image said.

Though there's no detail on who said these words, Cannon's caption showed he agreed with the message.

"If you were wondering..." he simply said.

Not long before that, E! Online reports Cannon told talk show host Meredith Vieira he still has a lot of love for his "Hero" crooning ex.

"To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that's never going to change," he said.

Since his split from Carey, Cannon has been romantically linked to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Jessica White, but another of his posts seemed to suggest they may have incurred some rocky times.

"Immature people always want to win arguments even at the cost of a relationship," Cannon waxed. "Mature ones prefer losing an argument just to uphold a golden relationship."

As for a possible reconciliation between him and Carey, 34-year-old Cannon told Vieira he would never say never, and the two did recently spend Easter Sunday together with their young twin children, Moroccan and Monroe.

"It was amazing, man," he said. "That's what people do, they spend time with their families."

After six years of marriage, Cannon filed for divorce from Carey in January of this year and she has since slapped him with a court ordered injunction prohibiting him from talking about their relationship or face financial penalties in any settlement agreement.

Since their breakup, Cannon has also been briefly linked to Nicole Murphy and Amber Rose, while TMZ reported Carey was recently seen sailing on a romantic yacht cruise with movie director Brett Ratner.
