Ciara Becomes the New Face of Roberto Cavalli
Ciara is the new face of fashion powerhouse Roberto Cavalli.
Ciara, Cavalli, and Cavilli's creative director Peter Dundas took to Instagram earlier this week to share photos from Ciara's Roberto Cavalli campaign.
The high fashion brand released a statement obtained by the Daily Mail explaining the premise and meaning behind the editorial shoot.
The brand explained that the campaign is based around "a surreal kingdom where the walls look like a magical sky." "[It is] the story of a world encapsulated in one room," says the statement, "the surreal kingdom where the walls look like a magical sky and surfaces enchant with desert volumes and earthy hues."
The press release describes Ciara as a woman who "embodies beauty with a hint of wildness," the Huffington Post reports. Ciara is also described as encompassing "seductive energy" and a woman who is "ready to build her very own kingdom beyond mere dreams, taking the beauty to the throne of personality."
MadameNoire reports that Ciara is featured in more than a dozen photos for the new campaign. There is no word on how much she will be paid for being Roberto Cavalli's new face. However, MadameNoire notes that the brand has been rising in revenue each year which means that Ciara is most likely reaping some of those financial benefits.
Roberto Cavalli's latest ad campaign featuring Ciara follows Nicki Minaj's collaboration with the brand for its spring 2015 campaign, says the Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to taking on the fashion world, Ciara is also taking on a new relationship in her life with Seahawks football player Russell Wilson. Ciara recently took to Instagram on Thursday, May 21, to inform her fans that she is still dating the Seahawks football player despite reports claiming otherwise.
Ciara and Wilson made their first public appearance as a couple at the White House State dinner in Washington, D.C., on April 28. Since then, reports surfaced that the two are in fact romantically involved.
