Batman vs Superman Movie Casting, Rumors, and News: Script Details, Filming Schedule Revealed
The script for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, also known as Batman vs. Superman, is finally complete, and details about filming may also have been revealed.
Yesterday, Amy Adams appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and told the world that she "just read the script." The Lois Lane actress, however, was mum when it came to any specific details.
"I don't know anything," she claimed when asked about the movie's plot.
The actress did reveal, however, that the Man of Steel sequel would begin production "very soon."
This impending filming might feature a high-speed Batmobile chase scene with Ben Affleck, who will play Bruce Wayne/Batman. According to Batman-on-Film, these scenes will be filmed over the summer.
"I was told that location shooting of vehicle chase scenes (read: Batmobile scenes) will not take place until the Summer," the website said. "I am under the impression that other location shooting, including exteriors -- in addition to studio shooting -- could begin as soon as next month, but that has not been confirmed."
Before any scenes for the Man of Steel sequel are shot, however, many more characters need to be casted, but perhaps not as many Justice League characters as rumors suspected. According to Batman-On-Film, who cites "inside information, industry scuttlebutt and ...opinion," the upcoming film will focus on Clark Kent/ Superman, played by Henry Cavill, and not the Justice League. As a result, some Justice League favorites are reportedly not in the film. Rumors have it that Jason Momoa will appear in the Man of Steel sequel as either Aquaman or Martian the Manhunter, but according to the website, neither superheroes will appear in the film.
Other rumors suggest that Arrow, from the CW television series Arrow will make his way into Batman vs. Superman. According to the expert, however, this is just "wishful thinking."
"It's a Superman film -- a Superman film that just so happens to include Batman and Wonder Woman -- but a Superman film nonetheless," the website said.
The Man of Steel sequel premieres Jul. 17, 2015.
