Adele has reportedly recorded a new song for the upcoming "Spectre."

While there is no official announcement on whether this will be the official song, it is rumored that the new song will be the title track.

A source told the Star, "Adele was just one of a few artists asked to write and record the title track for Spectre."

The source added, "Sam Smith was the favorite to be picked among insiders but Adele has got the nod. It is huge pressure for her after the unbelievable success of 'Skyfall.' To anyone else it would be a poisoned chalice but if anyone can pull it off it is Adele."

The rumors come after Adele decided to delay her album from the summer to a fall release date.

Adele won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her hit song "Skyfall" and the song became extremely popular when the film was released.

The opening Bond song has been iconic for years and a number of great musicians have written songs for the franchise.

"Spectre" is set to open on Nov. 6 and it is slated to tell the story of a cryptic message from Bond's past that sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

"Spectre" is set to star Daniel Craig as the iconic James Bond and will also see the return Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Monneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q. Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista and Stephanie Sigman have also joined the cast.

The movie will be directed by Sam Mendes who directed "Skyfall" and made it one of the best reviewed James Bond films ever.
