Shakira and Rihanna New Song 2014: Shakira Discusses "Can't Remember To Forget" Collaboration
On Jan. 13, Shakira and Rihanna will release "Can't Remember to Forget," their awaited collaboration. This will be Shakira's first single since having her precious baby and serving as a judge on The Voice. She is super excited for the song (hope we love it) and she also says she really enjoyed working with Rihanna.
In the latest issue of Glamour, Columbian beauty Shakira raved about Riri. "Working with her was utopia. She's the sexiest woman on the planet. And at the end of the day, we're both just basically Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good and so real. She taught me dance moves. She was a sweet teacher." Did you just read that in her accent? I did.
The "She Wolf" singer who introduced us to some serious belly dancing has us obsessed with this collaboration. It was a legendary union back when she got together with Beyoncé for "Beautiful Liar" so we cannot wait for what the Barbados native and Shaki have prepared for us. Guess this puts on even more pressure on that Rihanna and Katy Perry collaboration huh?
Judging from Rihanna teaching Shakira some dance moves, we can probably expect some ground shaking booty rolls in the video. Hope the song is amazing because we must admit; we didn't see these two gals teaming up. Not because it wasn't a great idea, but we just didn't think about it.
Shakira also told Glamour magazine how she felt about becoming the celebrity she is today. "I've shaken hands at every radio station, from Honduras to Ryan Seacrest. One day [I realized I was famous] enough. But here's the thing: I'm still hungry. But I'm not hungry for fame-just the need to prove [to] myself that I can still do this."
Do you think Shakira can "still do this?" We sure think so. What are your thoughts on this collaboration? Are you excited for "Can't Remember to Forget?"
