Cristiano Ronaldo is one of soccer's most popular players in the world. Now, he has his own video game, Fusion reports.

It would make sense for the game to be a soccer simulator and use Ronaldo's likeness, but that is not the case. Instead, the mobile game is an endless runner that features Ronaldo and a troll named Hugo running and skateboarding through the streets of Las Vegas trying to avoid the pesky Paparazzi Pete.

Endless runner games like "Temple Run" involve players running forward as they are chased by enemies. The game only ends when they are caught from behind by an enemy or run into an obstacle in front of them.

The mobile game was released this week and is called "Ronaldo and Hugo: Superstar Skaters." Ronaldo and Hugo will navigate through Las Vegas, leaping over obstacles and collecting coins on the way, according to ESPN FC.

"We have no doubt that Hugo the Troll has the potential to become the world's greatest gaming character -- especially with Cristiano Ronaldo at his side," said Henrik Kølle, founder and CEO of Hugo Games.

Hugo the Troll is a character from 1990s TV show "What's Up Doc." Ronaldo loves skateboards and Hugo will try to help him avoid Paparazzi Pete.

The look and feel of Las Vegas was captured by some excellent city mapping technology, The Telegraph reports.

"Cristiano is an international icon, with personality and strength, beloved all over the globe. We have already enjoyed Cristiano's fantastic personality through our collaboration. In short: It has been a great pleasure to work with Cristiano and his team on 'Ronaldo and Hugo: Superstar Skaters,'" Kølle said.

Kølle expects that Ronaldo and Hugo will make a good team.

"We expect that together, they will make a significant impact on the mobile gaming world in years to come."

In the past, games featuring Hugo have been downloaded more than 25 million times, according to Pixel Dynamo. Could this game be a hit?
