Carrie Underwood Baby News: Country Singer Opens Up About Finding Right Balance Between Home Life And Career Goals
Carrie Underwood readily admits the job of balancing new-found motherhood and a soaring music career is not an easy task.
But the 32-year-old former "American Idol" winner is vowing to hit the pavement with as much resolve and dedication as she ever had in tackling any battle she's ever faced.
"Having a baby definitely changes routine, and I have to work around his schedule," the "Jesus, Take the Wheel" singer recently told People. "Whenever he goes to sleep, I do the things I need to do for myself and make workouts happen when they can."
And, as if that's not enough, Underwood is also in the midst of taking her Calia by Carrie fashionable workout line to the next level.
Underwood is slated to make her much anticipated return to the stage next week, when she performs at the Grand Ole Opry on June 9, followed by performances on June 10 at the 2015 CMT Awards and June 13 at CMA Music Festival.
"I really haven't taken that much time 'off' because there are always things to do," she said. "It's been really nice to be able to focus my attention on Isaiah (newborn son) and our family. It's been really good. But it's been really nice as well to be creative, working on music, working on Calia."
Underwood and NHL husband Mike Fisher are also slated to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary this month. She recently told Glamour he is the only guy she's ever dated that she's never had to "worry about."
While stressing she's never been the "crazy-girlfriend type," Underwood explained that it was different with her husband.
"Any guy I've ever dated, there would always be that doubt: 'He didn't answer his phone. What's he doing? It's late.' I don't have to worry about Mike," she said. "I don't think twice."
