Zayn Malik & Perrie Edwards Marriage Rumors: Little Mix Singer Calls Herself Perrie Malik
Perrie Edwards almost gave Zayn Malik's fans a heart attack. The Little Mix singer referred to herself as Perrie Malik in a video that was recorded and posted on the Internet.
As soon as the video became viral, One Direction fans were sent into a frenzy with speculations that the engaged couple have finally pushed through with their wedding plans, and that it was Edwards, herself, who admitted it.
Malik's fans can breathe a sigh of relief since apparently, the couple have not yet tied the knot.
The Malik-Edwards nuptials are still set in the future, and based on the video, the girls of Little Mix were only playing a game. They were trying to make fun of Jade – who is still single – by saying their names with the surname of their boyfriends.
Still, Little Mix and 1D fans should get used to the name Perrie Malik since the wedding is still on. Unfortunately, no official wedding date has been provided yet. Edwards even told The Sun last month that she does “not know when the wedding will be.”
“We are still planning it, but I am so busy with Little Mix now ‘Black Magic’ is coming out,” she said. “Me and Zayn want it to be perfect. So, as soon as I have a bit of time, we will plan it. I doubt it will be this summer, but I will let you know.”
While Malik and Edwards are moving on from haters who have lashed out at Malik for deciding to leave the internationally famous boy band, the remaining boys of 1D seem to have not completely gotten over his exit, yet.
Liam Payne, who usually sings verses with Malik for “You & I,” had reportedly become very emotional mid-performance. “Liam was heartbreakingly staring at where Zayn used to stand,” a fan wrote on Twitter, along with a recorded footage of the sad moment.
Malik, meanwhile, has been spending more time with Edwards, joining Little Mix as the group promotes their new single "Black Magic."
