Australia and Nigeria will collide, while United States will face Sweden as Group D action of the 2015 FIFA World Cup resumes on Friday in Winnipeg, Canada.

Australia vs. Nigeria

Nigeria will look to move one step closer to clinching a spot in the knockout stages, while Australia will look to bounce back from a huge loss in their tournament opener.

Australia, who are the 10th-ranked team in the world, took a 3-1 loss to USA on Monday. A win against Nigeria will keep their chances of advancing to the next round alive, while a loss will put them in danger of ending their tournament earlier than expected.

Nigeria, on the other hand, will look to pick up from where they left off during their opening game against Sweden, which ended in a 3-3 draw.

Nigeria went down 2-0 in the first half of their match against Sweden, but Ngozi Okobi and Asisat Oshoala scored goals in the 50th and 53rd minute of the match to get back in the game. Linda Sembrant gave Sweden the lead again in the 60th minute, but Francisca Ordega scored the equalizer in the 87th minute.

USA vs. Sweden

Meanwhile, USA will look to book a spot in the Round-of-16 when they face Sweden in the other Group D matchup.

The U.S. women's national team kicked off their campaign with an impressive 3-1 win over Australia on Monday. Megan Rapinoe is expected to lead her team's charge anew after scoring two goals in their win against the Aussies.

USA will be favored to win against Sweden on Friday and midfielder Christen Press is confident they can live up to expectations because she believes they are the best team in the world today.

"We believe we are the best in the world and that we have the expectation for us to win this tournament and anything short will be a failure for us," Press told USA Today. "No one is shy to say that."
