NBA 2K16 News: Tall Players Will Have More Advantages, Plus Locker Codes and More for NBA 2K15
Tall and talented rebounders and post players might not get the credit they deserve in the NBA. They are not flashy shooters or playmakers, but they are still essential players in the game. In NBA 2K16, post players will be awarded with 32 new backdown animations to give them more advantages in the post.
These post players usually have the height advantage in the post, but in NBA 2K15 they were not able to use their height advantage or ability to back down on players in the post.
According to a tweet from NBA 2K16 producer Zach Timmerman, these post players will now have 32 new animations to help them dominate their opponents in the paint.
It is not known what these new animations are, but these big men can use their size to back into their opponents in order to get closer to the basket.
When NBA 2K16 is released, there will be three different covers of the game. The cover will either have Stephen Curry, James Harden or Anthony Davis. Buyers of NBA 2K16 will not have to search all over town looking for the cover featuring their favorite player because the game will come with foldable inserts so that players can swap the covers if they like.
NBA 2K16 enlisted the help of director Spike Lee for the career mode. MyCareer mode in NBA 2K16 will follow a character created by 2K Sports as he tries to have a successful NBA career.
"We follow a kid through the trials and tribulations of being a top high school player and the decisions he has to make," Lee told USA Today.
Some special Locker Codes are coming according to NBA 2K15's unofficial spokesman Ronnie 2K. Ronnie said that a Pink Diamond Stephen Curry looks like it is "incoming." He tells players to stay tuned for the code.
Ronnie also said Wednesday that sometime this week a Pink Diamond Carmelo Anthony (Melo) Locker Code would be revealed. Friday, Ronnie revealed that the Locker Code for Pink Diamond Melo would be coming on Saturday.
