"American Horror Story" actors Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have called off their engagement, according to Just Jared.

A Just Jared source claims the couple had an amicable breakup, but it seems different websites have conflicting accounts of what went on in the relationship.

Us Weekly reports that Roberts and Peters have been fighting for some time over the course of their three-year relationship.

According to The Huffington Post, Roberts and Peters got engaged over Christmas in 2013. Since then, they "grew apart" and argued often.

Last year, Peters told People that working with Roberts on "American Horror Story" was "amazing."

"It's really amazing," Peters gushed."You're at set and you're in a city that you don't really know that well. It's nice to have your best friend there to go to dinner with and check out the city."

Shortly after their engagement, Peters and Roberts got into an altercation and Roberts was arrested for domestic violence. At the time of her arrest, an Us Weekly source blamed the couples' youth and immaturity as the reason for the dispute.

"They're a couple of young kids," the source said. "Their romance is pretty extreme. They just behave in a way that's very passionate."

Roberts and Peters have yet to publicly speak out their breakup. Instead, Roberts has been gearing up for the series premiere of "Scream Queens," which will air on FOX this fall.

The show is about a series of murders taking place on a college campus.

Other "Scream Queens" cast members include Ariana Grande, Keke Palmer, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Joe Manganiello and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Us Weekly reports that Roberts was last spotted out at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood without her ring.
