'Mistresses' Season 3 Spoilers: Calista Raines Joins the Show, Someone Is Carted off in an Ambulance [Watch]
The two-hour Season 3 premiere of "Mistresses" features a brand new character and her relationship with Joss quickly becomes rocky.
Calista Raines, played by Jennifer Esposito, will join "Mistresses." Viewers can catch their first glimpse of her in the episode preview by ABC.
Joss is looking for a parking place while talking on the phone. She sees someone leaving, freeing up a spot. She ends her phone call and is about to pull into the spot, but a Range Rover pulls right in from the opposite direction.
Joss is raging after her spot is taken. She marches out of her car over to the Range Rover to confront the spot stealer.
Joss knocks on the window and says "Excuse me!" The driver of the Range Rover acts as though nothing happened. Joss tells her she knows what she has done. This is Joss' first run-in with Calista, who tries to get her to go away by offering her $100.
Joss takes the money but tells Calista that she is not fooling anyone with her "fake tan and Range Rover."
Already Joss and Calista have a damaged relationship and Calista has just met the other characters.
Calista's character is being introduced because Alyssa Milano, who plays Savi, left the show.
Entertainment Weekly was not able to spoil how Savi would be written off the show, but the site did say that someone will be carted off in an ambulance from Joss' surprise wedding. This makes it seem as though Savi might be killed off, but Savi will at least play a role on the season premiere.
Rina Mimoun, the showrunner for "Mistresses," offered up a hint on the upcoming show in an interview with TV Line.
"I can't speak too specifically about the Savi of it all, except to say that she is very much a part of our premiere," Mimoum said. "We're also bringing back a very special guest from Season 1 -- a surprise visitor who once again wreaks havoc in the lives of one of our Mistresses."
