Mexican singer Thalia has reunited with her sisters over the weekend. Well, except for one sister.

According to La Opinion, Thalia reunited with sisters Gabriela, Federica and Ernestina Sodi and stayed at the apartment that she shared with her husband entrepreneur, Tommy Mottola. The trip happened because the family was celebrating Federica's birthday.

But one of the sisters was not among the attendees. Laura Zapata was absent from the birthday festivities.

Thalia has a rather checkered past with Laura, with the "Maria la del Barrio" actress claiming that Zapata owed their grandmother money. Zapata believes that it is Ernestina's fault that the two are at odds.

"We have been used by people that don't have what Thalia and I have, the affection from our fans and fame," Zapata told Mexican media, according to Latin Times. "Since I was held hostage I have been suffering interference, especially from Ernestina. I blame her as the person guilty for all the separations that I've had from Thalia. My sister has started a new relationship with her grandmother and sister."

Eventually a reconciliation came about between Thalia and Zapata. However, Zapata is very critical of her sister, Gabriela. She claims Gabriela has a serious drinking problem and actually sold her a house that wasn't in such great shape.

It seems as though Thalia and Zapata have made amends with each other, but it doesn't mean that they are all one happy family once again. It is possibe that Thalia's other sisters simply did not want Zapata at Federica's birthday.

Thalia posted a photo of herself with her sisters on Instagram, and her followers quickly realized Zapata was missing.
