What happens when two bearded men join forces? They work on an FX comedy show of course! The Zach Galifianakis and Louis C.K. pairing is a match made in funny bone heaven. Galifianakis will star in the yet-to-be-named show and nothing is yet known about the plot. C.K. will serve as one of the show's executive producers. Along with Galifianakis, the two comedians will co-write the pilot episode together, according to Rolling Stone.

C.K. currently stars in the FX show "Louie." C.K.'s production company Pig Newton inked a multi-series development deal with FX and its sister networks back last December. The Galifianakis led show is the first project to be greenlit from that deal. All of these projects are pretty hush-hush right now, but judging by Louis C.K.'s body of work, expect your lungs to hurt from excessive laughter.

Additionally, FX is bringing another comedy show to it's flagship station. Aptly named The Comedians, and starring the legendary Billy Crystal, the show will premiere sometime in 2014. With the addition of at least two comedy shows in The Comedians and the untitled Galifianakis/C.K. effort, FX seems to be adopting a more lighthearted side. Many of FX's most popular shows have been hyper violent dramas lead by physically and mentally imposing male leads.

The New York Daily News reports that FX needs to retool its programming due to upcoming series finales. Sons of Anarchy, as you may know, is ending its seven season run in the fall. SoA creator Kurt Sutter will be back on FX with The Bastard Executioner in 2015. Justified will also ride off into the sunset after its sixth season. The once struggling, but now irresistible, western concludes in 2015. The fifth season is currently airing so Justified fans have quite a bit of time left to mourn. One of those fans is FX CEO John Landgraf.

"Honestly, I would like to have seen a seventh season," said Landgraf. "But [writer] Graham Yost and [star] Tim Olyphant thought it would be better served by ending it after six."

But life goes on and it's time for other shows to step up their game.
