Nick Jonas Relationship News 2015: Singer Split with Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo?
Nick Jonas and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo called it quits after two years together, Entertainment Tonight confirmed.
A source said they are both in New York City at the moment and are staying at separate hotels. Another source said the 22-year-old Jonas is the one who broke things off, leaving Culpo "heart broken."
The couple started dating in August 2013 after meeting at the Miss USA competition that year. But sources say they were not seen together at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, adding fuel to the rumors they were broken up even though they have pictures together on the red carpet.
Jonas and Culpo have shared some good times together. He even revealed that his hit song "Jealous" was written for her.
"We went out one night, and this guy was looking at her for a little too long," he recalled to TV talk show host Wendy Williams.
"It was uncomfortable. I'm not a jealous person and this was an experience that I was one or two drinks in. I really got into it and then I decided to let me just process this a different way and go into the studio and write this song."
Jonas said his relationship was "good" last week but admitted that long distance could be tough, ABC News reports.
"Dealing with that is always an interesting thing, but it's all good," he said. "We're both busy, and young, and enjoying life, so, it's going well."
Yet, Jonas was spotted eating alone in New York City last Thursday amidst rumors about the break up.
Meanwhile, the singer performed in the street for the Pittsburgh Pride festival on Saturday and then hit the stage to perform as the headline act, according to Post-Gazette. Earlier that same night he performed for the WBLI Summer Jam in New York City.
He started with his hit single "Chains" and closed the performance with "Jealous."
Will they rekindle their flame? Or, are the rumors of them splitting up just rumors?
