'Star Wars Episode 7' Rumors, Cast & Spoilers: Princess Leia's Costume Revealed
Four months before the release of "Star Wars: Episode VII," the first images of Princess Leia have been revealed.
In a YouTube video posted by That Hashtag Show, images of the iconic character were shown from a costume fitting.
According to the video, the images were given by an anonymous source. Additionally, the video noted that the images confirm the character's look that was revealed a while back.
The character's new look reveals an army appearance that resembles her wardrobe from Episode V and Episode VI. It is very different from her iconic representation in Episode IV.
Leia's involvement in the film is still somewhat of a mystery as no plot details have been revealed. However, it was hinted at the Star Wars celebration that Princess Leia is still a princess, and she's the one who sends Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) on his mission that will entangle him in the lives of Finn (John Boyega), the on-the-run Stormtrooper, and Rey (Daisy Ridley), a scavenger from the desert planet Jakku. It is also safe to say that since she is in military uniform, she will likely continue to lead the rebel forces.
While there are plenty of months still left for the release of the film Disney has slowly given sneak previews of certain characters through trailers, photo shoots and magazine spreads. Among the characters that have already been revealed are Chewie and Han Solo as well as Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma, Adam Driver's Kylo Ren, and Andy Serkis.
Lupita Nyong'o's character was also revealed and images of her performing motion capture were recently showcased. Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren, Finn and Rey have also been unveiled.
However, the studio has kept a number of characters hidden including Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker and newcomers Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow,
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is slated to open on Dec. 18 and was directed by J.J Abrams.
