Powerball Numbers & Results June 20, 2015: Watch Live Stream Of Drawing For $80 Million Jackpot
Saturday’s chance to win big at Powerball is here, and since no one won the grand prize last Wednesday -- when the winning numbers were: 20, 21, 22, 41, 54, and 7 -- all that money has rolled over and is now at $80 million with a cash value of $49.2 million.
There were 422,186 regular winners and $3,905,687 in non jackpot money was won. And there are in total nine ways to win at Powerball.
Players have a 1 in 175,223,510.00 of winning the grand prize and a 1 in 5,153,632.65 of winning $1,000,000.
So the chances of winning are slim, but people do actually win.
Case in point: Kimberly Little, a 43-year-old mother of four from Porterdale, Georgia, just won $1 million by matching the first five Powerball numbers on the June 13 drawing.
Describing the casual way she picked up her winning ticket at a place called Bailey’s Food Pride, Little said, “I was headed to the library to check out some books and relax.”
Although Little has her mind set on buying a new home she says that her first purchase will be a minivan. Both planned purchases seem to reflect a mind that is centered on the needs of her family.
As reported by Cov News, Little expressed serene gratitude about her new found fortune, saying, “It feels great, and I’m thankful. ... It’s just peace of mind.”
Meanwhile, time is running out for some other Powerball player who has been sitting on an unclaimed ticket worth $1 million for over two months now.
The unclaimed ticket was was sold in Neosho, Missouri.
As reported in The Joplin Globe, Susan Goedde, the communications manager of the Missouri Lottery, said, "We hope that somebody does come forward and claim that prize."
The winner has until Oct. 8, after which the money goes to public education.
