Beyonce Pays Tribute to Charleston Shooting Victims
Beyonce took to Instagram on Thursday, June 18 to pay tribute to the murdered victims of the recent shooting that took place at a historic black Charleston, South Carolina church, E! News reports.
Beyonce posted a video clip with an image of the church along with the names of the nine people that were murdered by 21-year-old Dylann Roof.

Roof's shooting massacre is believed to be a hate crime against the African American people at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston.
E! News reports that Roof has confession to "carrying out" what he describes as his mission. He is currently in jail in North Charleston.
"This is an absolute hate crime," South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley told NBC's Today show. "We absolutely will want him to have the death penalty."
In addition to Beyonce, other celebrities have paid tribute to the victims and have shared their opinion on Roof's senseless killing, the Los Angeles Times reports. Some of the celebrities include Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Common, Taylor Swift and Aja Naomi King.
E! News reports that six women and three men were killed.
The nine victims are Cynthia Hurd, 54; Susie Jackson, 87; Ethel Lance, 70; Rev. Sharonda Singleton, 45; Myra Thompson, 59; Rev. DePayne Middleton-Doctor, 49; Hon. Rev. Clementa Pinckney, 41; Tywanza Sanders, 26, and Rev. Daniel Simmons Sr., 74.
