Host Canada and Switzerland will look to join Germany and China in the quarterfinals when they continue their campaign in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Canada will resume their bid of winning the World Cup on home soil when they take on Switzerland in the Round-of-16 on Sunday night at the BC Sports Stadium in Vancouver.

Canada ended up on top of Group A after getting five points from one win and two draws, while Switzerland finished third in Group C and took one of the four spots allotted for third-place teams during the group stage.

Canada will be heavily-favored to win heading into the match -- not only because of their better record, but also because of the Canadians who are expected to go all out to support their team.

"We really want to hear it in Vancouver," Canada forward Melissa Tancredi said of playing in the knockout stage with the majority of the crowd backing them. "People need to realize that the crowd noise really help us. I can't wait to see the sea of red."

Canadian midfielder Jessie Flemming admitted that there is tremendous pressure on their shoulders as they are playing in front of their countrymen, who are also expecting they will take the crown this year. The 17-year-old quickly added, though, that they are getting used to the pressure, which could help them on Sunday night.

"I think playing in front of a lot of people you start to get used to it," Flemming said. "Once we get on the ball and start playing everyone settles into their comfort zone."

On the other hand, Martina Voss-Tecklenburg played down the underdog tag on them. She is confident her team has the tools to pull off an upset against the host. Nevertheless, the former Switzerland international said that playing in front of more than 50,000 fans will be a great experience for her players.

"It's a very special situation during this World Cup," Voss-Tecklenburg said via Washington Times. "Now facing the host team, we have an atmosphere that will be unique. Regardless of the result, it will be an incredible experience for our young team. It's fantastic to be playing in a near sold-out stadium."
