The United States women's soccer team will collide with Colombia in the Round-of-16 of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada on Monday at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada.

USA booked a spot in the knockout phase of the tournament by finishing on top of Group D with seven points from two wins and one draw, while Colombia ended up third in Group F with four points, which was enough to take one of the four sports allotted for teams who finished third in the group.

Heading into their knockout game on Tuesday, USA are considered heavy favorites to win based on their recent performances, but coach Jill Ellis said they are not taking Colombia lightly. Ellis said that the tournament has been very competitive as underdog teams pulled off upsets against favorites like Colombia's 2-0 win against France.

"Even in the group games you could see this is an ultra-competitive tournament, this is probably the most competitive World Cup to date in terms of the quality of teams in it," Ellis told Edmonton Sun. "Certainly nothing is taken for granted in any of the games we've played thus far."

While Ellis sounded respectful of their opponents, Colombia star Lady Andrade has an axe to grind against USA. Andrade said that they are going to go all out to pull off an upset and they are motivated because they felt U.S. have disrespected them in the tournament.

"They belittle us. They think we're a team they're going to walk all over and it will be an easy game for them," Andrade told USA Today. "We're going to beat them since they like to talk so much."

Reacting to Andrade's statement, USA midfielder Megan Rapinoe denied the allegations, saying that they respect all teams in the tournament. They also saw how Colombia performed during the group stages, and she thinks there is no reason to underestimate their Round-of-16 opponent.

"I know they've commented that they've been disrespected, but that's not from us, we respect them as an opponent," Rapinoe said. "We've seen what they've done in this tournament. I don't think it is any fluke that they beat France."
