Super Bowl 48 is set. The 13-3 Denver Broncos will meet the 13-3 Seattle Seahawks in New Jersey this February. This will be a really great Super Bowl for many reasons, including the fact that the Broncos tout the NFL's number one all-time offense whereas the Seahawks will bring their league-leading defense to the big game. Can Bronco's Quarterback Peyton Manning continue his playoff hot streak or will he revert to his old choking ways? Will bad boy cornerback Richard Sherman snag an interception or two and let the whole world know his name?

How did these two teams get to this point in time? Well, the Broncos are coming off an easier than expected win against the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots. Conversely, the Seahawks pulled out a gritty, come from behind victory against Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers. Both the Broncos and the Seahawks have the best records in the AFC and NFC respectively. The last time both number one seeds met in the playoffs was in 2009 when the eventual champion New Orleans Saints outsmarted the Indianapolis Colts. Before that? Well, you have to go all the way back to 1993, where America's team beat the four-time Super Bowl-losing Buffalo Bills. So, anyway you slice it, this is quite a rare matchup.

When Vegas bookies opened up the Super Bowl 48 betting they placed the Seahawks as 1.5 to 2 point favorites over the Broncos. An overwhelming number of bets were placed on both teams, but more bettors believe Peyton Manning and the Broncos will win the Super Bowl title. Thus, the Broncos are now slightly favored over the Seahawks. Betting is a fickle business however and the tide can change at any moment.

If Peyton Manning captures his second title he will cement his 2013 season as the greatest in NFL history. The 37-year-old gunslinger has already set single-season NFL records in passing yardage and touchdowns. Coming off the AFC championship victory over his archrival Tom Brady only adds to the success he's had this season. Another championship wouldn't put him on the same level as Brady (3 titles) or Bradshaw or Montana (4 titles apiece), but it would help him squash his detractors. Manning would also become the first QB to win titles with different franchises. He is already the first QB to lead two different teams to the big game.

However, the high flying, high strung, adderall-taking Richard Sherman is determined to get a ring. The brash cornerback didn't mince words during an NFC Championship postgame chat with Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews.

"I'm the best corner in the game! When you try me with a sorry receiver like [San Francisco's Michael] Crabtree, that's the result you gonna get! Don't you ever talk about me!"
