TMZ has learned that Jessi Smiles, the Vine star who accused her boyfriend and fellow Viner Curtis Lepore of rape, is now receiving death threats. Lepore was arrested in October for allegedly raping Smiles in her sleep, according to TMZ who broke the story. Vine fans and news followers seem to be on Lepore's side, claiming that Jessi is lying.

Curtis Lepore pled not guilty this week to charges of rape. Lepore turned to the video-sharing site that made him famous in the first place to post a video of him saying, "There's two sides to every story. When the time is right, I will have something to say." See people are siding with Curtis, who denies raping his girlfriend while she slept, a claim that has made Jessi pretty unpopular.

Curtis Lepore fans accuse Jessi Smiles of making up the story in order to obtain media attention and publicity. The case has become so personal to fans that they are publicizing "vicious threats" and accusations against the once loved Vine star. "So jessi smiles told people Curtis raped her while they were dating. NO F**K YOU JESS! I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN YOU LITTLE B***H," one user tweeted. Another person commented on one of Jessi's Vine videos saying, "Hows it feel to lie about being raped, F**king b****h he didn't f**king rape you dumb b***h."

The courts are obviously handling the case, so both parties are restrained from saying much. Now as far as how the threats and accusations are being handled, that's a whole other problem. Is Jessi lying? Is Curtis innocent? Why would anyone lie about something like this? The couple actually being together definitely puts a twist on this investigation. But does that justify the media bullying going on against the alleged victim?

Whether or not this was the type of exposure the young exes expected, they are way past Vine now.
