Donald Trump on Hispanic Voters: 'Latinos Love Trump, And I Love Them' [Video]
Despite calling Mexican immigrants drug traffickers and rapists last week, Donald Trump is convinced that Latinos "love" him.
The billionaire real estate mogul recently came under fire when he stated that the Mexican migrants are bringing drugs and crime to the U.S. during his presidential election announcement speech on June 16.
"They (Mexico) are not our friend, believe me. ... The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else's problems. ... When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best. They are not sending you. They are sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems to us. They are bringing drugs and they are bringing crime, and they're rapists," said the reality TV star. He also promised to build a border wall and "make Mexico pay for that wall" if he is elected into the White House, according to the New York Daily News.
Following his attack on Mexican immigrants, Trump claimed on Tuesday to have great relations with the Hispanic voters and his Latino employees.
"I do great with Latino voters," Trump told reporters during a press conference for the re-opening for his new 18-hole "Championship Course" by the Potomac River.
"I employ so many Latinos. I have so many people working for me. I'm a job creator. I create jobs. I'm a master job creator. No politician knows how to create jobs. They're all talk, they're no action. They don't know what they're doing," he said. "The Apprentice" television host then proclaimed that "Latinos love Trump, and I love them."
The real estate developer also touted the results of a newly released New Hampshire primary poll that ranks him in second place behind Jeb Bush among Republican voters. According to the survey, Trump has earned 11 percent of the vote, while Bush ranked as the most popular GOP contender with 14 percent of the vote.
"I think it's an honor. I was just told we're in second place. Bush, then Trump. And the headline is Trump," he said, reported Fox News.
