The Polaroid Cube+ is a tiny camera that can be paired with a smartphone and connected to a WiFi network for easy photo-sharing.

The new device is an update to last year's Polaroid Cube, according to TechRadar. 

The Cube+ is a simple 1.4-inch square. Even thought it is a very small device, it still has a sensor, lens and a shutter button. Missing from the device is a screen to review pictures.

The Cube+ offers a phone-pairing feature that allows users to connect the device to an Android or iOS device. This gives them the power to use their phone as a viewfinder and use the new smartphone app to change the settings of the Cube+.

The Cube+ is connected wirelessly to an Android or iOS device through the built-in WiFi. Users will be able to quickly upload and share their images from the Cube+. 

On the bottom of the Cube+ is a magnet that allows it to stick to metal devices or mounts designed for the device, Digital Trends reports. This provides hands-free picture-taking capabilities

Polaroid upped the picture quality on the Cube+ from 6 megapixels (MP) on the Cube to 8 MP on the Cube+. The Cube+ will also be able to support 64 GB microSD cards.

The Cube+ upgraded its sensor with electronic image stablization. This feature should help with low-light pictures and action shots.

The new smartphone app for the Cube+ offers the live image on the screen as well as the opportunity to edit, print and share images. Pictures can be printed right from a smartphone to one of Polaroid's portable Zink printers like the Zip.

The Cube+ will cost $150 which is $50 more than the original Cube that will remain at the $100 price point. Polaroid is not trying to compete with GoPro, they say. Instead, Polaroid is looking at a different crowd for this device.
