Asus released its first Android Wear -- the Asus ZenWatch smartwatch -- in November 2014. The smartwatch was stylish and a great value. In 2015, Asus plans to release another ZenWatch, hoping it will be another successful smartwatch, Tech Radar reports.

One of the best features of the ZenWatch was its design. The ZenWatch 2 will look similar to the original, with some differences.

The ZenWatch 2 will add a crown button to the right side of the watch. This button will put the phone into standby mode and it might be able to control apps as well.

Like the Apple Watch, Asus' new smartwatch will be available in two sizes: 49 x 41 mm with a 22 mm strap, and 45 x 37 mm with a 18 mm strap. There will be a choice of silver, gunmetal and rose gold. The straps will be offered in leather, metal and rubber for both sizes.

The display on the ZenWatch 2 will be a curved 2.5D AMOLED display, Asus confirmed. The display will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The face will be square-shaped.

Displaying a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels, the 1.63-inch display will be the same as the original ZenWatch.

According to Wareable, the ZenWatch 2 will come equipped with an undisclosed Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Asus chief Jonney Shih said that the new watch could have an up to seven-day battery life, but it likely will not be able to last that long. It is more likely to receive about two days of battery life.

Another improvement that is coming to the ZenWatch 2 is better waterproofing. The smartwatch will now be capable of being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

The price of the ZenWatch 2 is likely going to be comparable to the original at $199. Asus could announce the new watch this summer and release it in the fall.
