Former "Anaheim Ducks" player Rob Niedermayer is moving on from his Newport Coast property.

The retired National Hockey League (NHL) athlete has already found a buyer for his nearly 4,060-square-foot residence in Crystal Cove, which he sold for a bargain price of $3.6 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. 

The ex-Ducks right wing and his wife, Jessica, reportedly bought the Newport Coast home for $3.95 million a decade ago, more than its selling price today. The home changed hands through the professional help of listing agent Jim Weisenbach of Surterre Properties and the buyer's representative, Carole Geronsin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.

The Mediterranean-inspired two-story home has five bedrooms and five and three-quarters bathrooms. It also showcases a dream kitchen equipped with a huge center island, a dining nook, some customized cabinets, and even high-end appliances a chef-at-heart could dream of. The home also comes with a spacious extra room that the new owners may convert to a personal gym or a recreation room.

Other notable features of the house are the double-height foyer, a grand living room, a formal dining room, beamed ceilings, travertine flooring and intricate wrought iron accents.

The private residence, located in the guard-gated neighborhood, also offers peaceful aquamarine views of the Pacific Ocean, pristine verdant scenery of the Pelican Hill Golf Course and amazing canyon views.

Outdoors, the new owners may find the yard their new family bonding area as it is highlighted with a spa with a waterfall, a barbecue station and a fireplace.

Niedermayer played more than three years with the World Hockey League, 17 years with the NHL and one year with the Switzerland National League A, stated HockeyDB.

He and his older brother Scott, who played for the New Jersey Devils, had to face each other during the 2003 Stanley Cup finals, which the Devils won 3-0. However, four years later, the brothers joined forces under the same team, the Ducks, taking home the 2007 Stanley Cup title.
