Fifty Shades of Grey Movie Cast, News, and Update: E.L. James and Director Sam Taylor-Johnson Clash But Everyone Loves Dakota Johnson
Things on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie set are getting heated but not for reasons fans might expect. According to rumors, Fifty Shades of Grey author, E.L. James, and the film's director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, are not getting along.
E! News reports that James and Taylor-Johnson are not seeing eye-to-eye when it comes to the upcoming film adaptation's script.
"Sam is getting annoyed about the way the script is being handled," a source told E! News. "E.L. James wants the movie to match the book exactly, but Sam has a different perspective."
Taylor-Johnson reportedly wants James to remember her place.
"Sam is reminding E.L. she writes books, and she makes movies," the source continued. "This has caused some tension between the two of them."
Taylor-Johnson is not having problems with anyone else on the set, however.
"Sam has a great relationship with the actors," the source said. "The script is running smoothly, and there is not a lot of re-shooting that has had to be done."
Meanwhile Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) are getting clser and closer, thanks to their on-set romance.
"Jamie Dorman [sic] is really protective over Dakota," the source said.
"It's hot," Michael De Luca, producer, said about Dornan and Johnson's chemistry. "I think we are a little more than halfway through, but it's going really good. I'm excited."
Dornan, 31, is reportedly helping the 24-year-old actress stay focused.
"She is very friendly and talks to everyone," the source explained. "Jamie stays to himself and does not talk much. Jamie thinks Dakota gets really distracted because she is so nice to people, and so he will walk over to who she is talking to and try and end the conversation. He is nice about it, but he does ask them to leave her alone."
Johnson may be a social butterfly but that doesn't mean that she is not taking role of Anastasia Steele seriously.
"Dakota is nailing her role," the source claimed. "Everyone on set loves Dakota."
Fifty Shades of Grey will be released Feb. 13, 2015.
