Gal Gadot Wonder Woman: Batman vs Superman Actress Signs Three Movie Contract for Role
Gal Gadot has officially struck gold. The actress who has been chosen to play Wonder Woman by Warner Bros. will be starring in two more films other than Batman vs. Superman. Our questions have been answered, are you happy now?
Okay, fine, we cannot say we are happy until we see Gal Gadot "grow" into her Wonder Woman character. But Variety magazine has confirmed the other two films that the Fast and The Furious star will also be a part of. According to the trade's sources, Gadot will first kick butt in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel, Batman vs. Superman, and in the next few years she will also be starring in both Justice League and Wonder Woman movies. How exciting is that?
Gadot's three-film contract is shorter than most Marvel Studios six-picture deals. This is because Warner Bros. is still unsure about the audience welcoming of Gadot as their new Wonder Woman. "Since it's taken so long to find the right parts to make a Wonder Woman movie work, WB and DC don't want to rush into a large commitment if fans are still not drawn to a standalone movie featuring the character." In other words, you better not disappoint us, Gal! No pressure.
"We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that's respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can. So everything that has been speculated are things that we've thought about," said Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production. Meaning if they chose Gal Gadot to play this character, ultimately making the decision to have her star in two more films, it is because they saw something in her.
Gadot will be making her big debut alongside Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman in Batman vs. Superman. The film that was originally set for release on Jul. 17, 2015 has now been moved to May 6, 2016. Just so we can cry of anxiety and torture (sad face). What do you think of Gal Gadot's new solo film and Justice League part?
