Huawei Band Zero Specs: A Cheap Smartwatch with Basic Features
Huawei is still waiting to release its first smartwatch, but they are already talking about their second one.
The Huawei Band Zero will be a cheap smartwatch that pairs with the Huawei Honor smartphone, according to Engadget.
The watch looks very simple according to images that appeared on Twitter and Engadget Chinese. In the images, the watch's face was turned off so there was no way of seeing exactly what it would look like in action.
The smartwatch will be pretty basic though, it will tell time, provide fitness tracking and allow for some basic smartphone notifications. It is expected that the Band Zero will be powered by the Android Wear operating system.
Leiphone reports that probably the most impressive feature of the watch will be its long battery life. They report that it could receive up to four days of battery life. They also noted that it will be both dust and waterproof up to a IP68 standard.
The Band Zero smartwatch will be a circular design, much like the Moto 360, according to Android Central. The band will feature a subtle amount of texture.
The entire smartwatch is a very clean device with no buttons or other features. This could mean the device will be entirely run by a touchscreen. The device is expected to be a low-end device, so its features may be limited and users might not have to interact with it that much.
Huawei will first release the Huawei Watch. That smartwatch will likely be the high-end model for Huawei for starters. More features and buttons are probably coming to that watch. It could be a while before the Band Zero debuts, because the Huawei Watch will come first.
For the buyer who does not require tons of features, apps and buttons on their smartwatch will likely be happy with the price and features of the Band Zero.
