Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 has yet to be announced but it seems that the South Korean company is already busy working on the upcoming phablet. Rumors of what the upcoming device might look like have likely been confirmed in an online leak of what is said to be a casing for the gadget from Samsung.

MobileDirect recently shared to Phone Arena images of what it said are casing for two upcoming devices from the South Korean tech giant. The company is a known distributor of casing and accessories for phones and tablets and for the longest time has had access to what the latest devices would look like.

One of the two images Mobile Direct sent is for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

While it seemed that the size of the latest device does not have much difference with its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, one detail stuck out of the rest that hinted at a possible new design for the phablet.

The cutout on the casing for the camera is elongated vertically to give the idea that the flash for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be placed on the side of the lens unlike in the Note 4.

The Galaxy Note 4's flash is placed directly under the camera. However, the rumored new design seems to have taken a clue from the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Both units have the flashes beside the rear camera.

Aside from that, it is noticeable from the leaked image that there is no cutout hole on the back of the case to accommodate the speaker. However, cutouts can be seen at the bottom edge, noted Techno Buffalo. This could only mean that the speaker might have been moved to the bottom of the phablet.

No other details and changes could be gathered from the leaked photos and most will have to wait for Samsung's official announcement before one can see if the reported casing is actually for the Note 5.

Meanwhile, other reports have hinted that the upcoming device will be the most powerful unit the Korean company would ever come out with.

It is rumored to have a "new Exynos 7422 chip and USB-C support." Battery life will also be extended as reports claim that it will feature a 4100mAh battery along with the 5.98-inch Quad HD display for a more vivid and realistic feel on the screen where images and videos will surely pop out.

Some reports are also saying that Samsung will unveil the new devices in September to compete with Apple's latest gadget offering. However, the Korean company can also opt to announce it earlier than that. It remains to be seen what Samsung's next move will be in the coming weeks.
