WWE Network Live Stream: Brock Lesnar Returns For 'Beast in the East' Japan Special, Preview and Prediction
There is a beast coming to Tokyo, his name is Brock Lesnar, and he is very angry.
On July 4, WWE will broadcast a live event for the first time in Tokyo, Japan. Lesnar returns to in-ring action for the first time since "Wrestlemania 31" and is looking to let out anger and frustration after being taken out by WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and members of The Authority on "Raw" two weeks ago. Sadly, there will be no Paul Heyman at his side since he wasn't booked on this tour.
The unfortunate soul who will be facing him? Kofi Kingston. There is no doubt that this will be a lopsided match as Lesnar will unleash a series of pain towards Kingston. Can Lesnar regain his momentum with "Battleground" looming in a couple of weeks?
The other main event on the card will be United States Champion John Cena teaming up with Dolph Ziggler against King Barrett and Kane. It is really a random matchup since all four wrestlers are in angles with other wrestlers, but star power sells. It will be interesting to see how this match will turn out.
The match that can possibly steal the show is Chris Jericho vs. Neville. Old school vs. new school. Jericho's current deals calls for him to only appear on house shows, and Neville is quickly becoming a fan favorite. It is the "Best In The World" vs. "The Man That Gravity Forgot." There is no doubt that these fans are in for a treat when they face off.
There is an NXT title match on the the card as well. Current NXT Champion Kevin Owens will defend his title against up-and-coming-star Finn Bálor. It is looking likely that Owens will lose his NXT title soon and beat Cena for the United States title at "Battleground" in a couple of weeks. Owens is always fun to watch and is beginning to find his way up the main roster.
Other matches on the card include (via Bleacher Report):
- The New Day vs. The Lucha Dragons
- Nikki Bella vs. Paige For the WWE Divas Championship
- Cesaro vs. Diego
What will happen in Toyko? You will find out as "WWE Beast in the East" will be live from the famed Ryogoku Sumo Hall on the WWE Network on Saturday at 5:30 am. EST.
