'Kate Plus 8’ Star Opens Up About Troubled Son Collin
During a recent episode of "Kate Plus 8," Kate Gosselin revealed her 11-year-old son Collin had some trouble in school.
In Touch Weekly reports that Gosselin has denied her son's troubling behavior in the past after a story broke out about Collin getting expelled from school in 2010.
However, in the latest "Kate Plus 8" episode, Gosselin came clean and admitted that Collin "has some educational and social challenges." She also admitted that her son has some trouble problem solving and requires extra attention from her.
In an effort to resolve her son's issues, Gosselin revealed that she hired specialists to help Collin do better in school.
"This is a work in progress for him that we've sought many specialists help on," she said. "There are changes coming for him. I think it will result in a change of school for him for this upcoming year and beyond that, we'll see."
Us Weekly reports that the latest "Kate Plus 8" episode also featured a birthday special involving Gosselin's sextuplets celebrating their eleventh birthdays.
The birthday celebration involved a celebratory trip for the children who were given the opportunity to spend the night in a suite.
Us Weekly reports that the trip quickly turned sour when the girls realized that the boys' suite was bigger and more luxurious than theirs.
When the girls began complaining to Gosselin about the suites, she "put her foot down" and scolded them for being ungrateful, says Us Weekly.
"I think you're all over-tired, over-sugared, and overdone," Gosselin told the girls. "Ask me the next time you're gonna have a sleepover! Never. Trust me, it's never happening again."
And though she scolded the girls for being unappreciative, Gosselin revealed to the camera crew that she was most worried about the boys breaking furniture in the suite.
"I gotta fix this, then I gotta get back down to those boys that probably have broken furniture and made a campfire out of it," she quipped.
