It's hard to believe, but we're about a month or so away from the Samsung Galaxy Note 5's expected reveal and possible release date, and only now are we getting a taste of what the Galaxy Note 5 might look like.

On top of that, the latest leak of the rumored Galaxy Note 5 is still just render -- supposedly leaked from a 3D CAD model of the upcoming phablet and picked up by @onleaks (via GSMarena and NoWhereElse.Fr).

The styling of the phone looks like a Galaxy Note, with a prominent home button, a slot in the bottom right for the stylus, and the generally boxy style mixed with curved edges we've come to expect from Samsung.

Meanwhile, the frame is thinned on the sides (but not in an "Edgy" way, if you know what I mean), which may hint at a more grip-able device this year.

Interestingly, it's what seemingly hasn't changed that's making waves. For example, the rumor that the Note 5 will come with a Type-C USB port (like what Apple is rumored to start using in everything from new iPads to iPhones to its MacBooks) seems to be contradicted by the very old-style microUSB 2.0 port displayed in the render video.

And most everything else seems to be close to the same or similar with this Note 5 render. Of course, Samsung could be sticking with what works and that wouldn't be surprising.

But even less surprising would be that this "leak" is either completely fan-made or several iterations old compared to what Samsung has in store come September 2015.

In any case, it's the first thing we've seen at all from what either is a well-kept leak-proof Note 5 design and pre-production process so far -- or heaven forbid, no Galaxy Note model at all this year.

We're thinking it's the former, but as they say, it's all food for thought. Just include a healthy grain of salt with that brainfood, Samsung fans. More concrete details should be leaking soon, since it always seems to this time of year.
