Orlando Scandrick & Draya Michele Split: Dallas Cowboys CB Regrets Proposal to ‘Basketball Wives LA’ Star
Orlando Scandrick and Draya Michele have just called it quits after being engaged to one another for only less than a month. According to what the NFL star told TMZ, it was his “decision to call off the engagement and permanently end the relationship” that he had with the reality TV star.
To add salt to the wound, Scandrick said, “In hindsight, it was a poor decision to propose.”
Based on what the Dallas Cowboys cornerback has been telling media outlets, it would appear that the former celebrity couple did not have an amicable breakup.
“Draya is extremely emotional and downright crazy,” a source told Hollywood Life. “The relationship was toxic. They should never have been together. Orlando is a great man and father, but they just could not make it work together.”
Just last month, their breakup made its way to headlines. However, the reality TV star was pretty hopeful that they will get back together, telling TMZ Sports that she still carried a torch for him.
“I love him,” she said. According to her, she was a long way from being “finished” with him. It remains unknown precisely what went down that made them decide to get back together, but Michele did claim, at the time, that they were both trying to work things out.
Scandrick made the “poor decision to propose” in June, which was only a month after the two ended their previous two-year relationship. A couple of weeks after the split, they got back together and he popped the question to the “Basketball Wives LA” star with a massive diamond ring, which TMZ Sports claims may have cost the footballer $400,000.
Now that Scandrick has changed his mind about spending the rest of his life with Michele, he is “anxious to move on” with his life “both personally and professionally.”
To date, Michele has not given any comment regarding the split. However, she did confirm to TMZ Sports only several days ago that she was very excited for her special day with Scandrick. She even said that she wanted to invite the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones.
Prior to Scandrick’s confirmation regarding the split, she admitted that she and Scandrick have not agreed on a final wedding date yet, but had already sent an invite to Jones. She even hinted that she would still invite the Cowboys' big boss even if Scandrick will no longer be playing for the team by the time they tie the knot.
