At first glance, the Meizu MX5 looks just like an iPhone 6.

This is not a new thing for the Chinese phonemaker, as they have borrowed ideas from Apple in the past.

The MX5 comes from a company that is not well known outside of China, but it looks just like an extremely popular U.S. phone, the Apple iPhone 6. The phone borrows the same curved corners that the iPhone 6 introduced and the same beveled edges that the iPad Air has.

Even though the Meizu MX5 has the same look to the iPhone 6, it has very different specifications and features. The iPhone 6 uses just an 8-megapixel (MP) camera, but the MX5 has an impressive 20.7-MP camera. The MX5 also has a six-element lens and dual tone flash as well as laser-assisted focusing. The laser-assisted focus feature is something that the LG G4 uses as well.

The front of the MX5 looks very similar to the iPhone 6 as well. At the bottom of the device is the familiar home button, which doubles as a fingerprint sensor. If the home button was not shaped a little differently than the circular iPhone 6 home button, the front of the device would be a near replica to the iPhone 6.

The MX5 has the same big 5.5-inch screen that the iPhone 6 Plus has. The screen is capable of showing a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels or 401 pixels per inch (ppi).

Inside the MX5 is a octa-core 2.2 GHz processor and 3 GB of RAM. The iPhone 6 only offers 1 GB of RAM.

Buyers of the MX5 can choose from 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage space. There is no microSD slot, which the iPhone 6 also lacks.

The MX5 will use Apple's competitor for software, the Android operating system. The phone will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed.

There is no official date for the release of this phone in the U.S., but it is currently available in China. The 16 GB version will cost about $290 and the 64 GB version will cost $385. According to Android Headlines, the phone is already extremely popular in China, with excited buyers already placing their orders to reserve it.
