Pedro is swiftly becoming one of the hottest tickets this transfer window.

With Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea trying their chances of acquiring the 27-year-old forward, the storyline has changed since a few days ago when Pedro said he will stay with FC Barcelona, as the Mirror reported. 

In the Catalan club, Pedro plays with the world's best strikers in Barcelona's big three: Brazilian wonderkid Neymar, Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi and the controversial Uruguayan Luis Suarez.

The mood has changed as Barcelona made some further moves when the transfer window opened.

FC Barcelona signed another striker in Turkey captain Arda Turan on a five-year £24.1 million ($37.2 million) contract from fellow Spanish club Atletico Madrid, noted ESPN FC. Pedro said he is in a "delicate situation," right now, reported Mundo de Portivo on Tuesday but commented that Turan, "can contribute a lot" to the team.

With the recent turn of events, it appears Chelsea has now advanced in the frontline to sign Pedro, according to the Daily Star.

The English football club is reportedly willing to spend a significant amount to acquire Pedro. They were also in the running to acquire Turan, and losing the Turkish star to Barcelona pushed them to fast-track their pursuance of Pedro.

Pedro just recently agreed to renew his contract with Barcelona, which would have secured him until the summer of 2019. The Catalan club also put a buy-out clause in place, to the tune of £108 million ($167 million). This means Barcelona will always have the final say in negotiations should Chelsea close in on their plans to sign Pedro, according to the Daily Star.

Chelsea's current manager Jose Mourinho, who has also managed Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, is very familiar with Pedro's skill and dynamics, the Daily Star noted.

Chelsea is also in the market to acquire more pieces, as they chase down Real Madrid's Isco to add more firepower to the Blue Lions. The Mirror published a £20 million ($31 million) offer from Chelsea for Isco, which the Spanish player initially turned down. The English club is willing to part ways with Brazilian winger Oscar to free up space for the Real Madrid midfielder, according to Marca.com's transfer tracker.
